Should be more clearer post Covid and the big guns from the West come online again. Think all of the LL results just show there's a big overlap between tier 5 and 6. Hurlford and Largs beating mid-lower end teams, Renfrew with the upset (though they were title contenders in the Championship so more than just a tier 7 team). Jeanfield beating Caley Braves and Gala winning by one goal against Sauchie shows the EOS overlaps as well. Saying all that - it's the cup so you can't read too much into it! E.g. against mid-table tier 7 sides - Darvel last minute winner and Troon lost in extra time.
Burnieman
If the top half of the EoS Premier replaced the bottom half of the LL, it would make the LL a stronger league. As we know there's a bottle neck stopping the flow downwards of poorer teams. It may take 5 or more years for things to balance out once licenced WoS clubs come on stream and the LL get round to relegating 2 teams.

Kill two birds with one stone They've done that in the past (in ra Juniors) but even the Juniors brought in a rule to stop that. I'm sure Beith and Glenafton played a league and Ayrshire Cup tie as one game because of a fixture backlog.

Just give up those league payments, lads, and have a jolly time in the LL. See Berwick Rangers for details.

Why wouldn't they? There was no apetite to pursue this at the 2018 LL AGM after a large portion of the east region moved over to the EoS because LL clubs wanted to avoid for as long as possible undergoing a relegation that at least half of the clubs would have been fully aware that they will have pretty much zero chance of ever bouncing back from in future promotion terms. Kill two birds with one stone Don't think we're at that stage yet - but unless the rules have changed, if Beith's pitch is unplayable on Saturday then it'll be switched to Holm Park where there's more flexibility as it could even take place midweek. As for LL relegation, after the 2018-19 season they changed the rules to make it harder for the bottom club to be relegated by giving them a reprieve in certain circumstances, rather than making them reapply. So not sure how quickly they are going to vote for two down... Edited November 22, 2020 by Ginaro

Most instances where a spot through application would arise would take place until early May when all the play-offs had been completed. It would already have been complicated process with two feeder leagues providing candidates and the relegated club pulling votes from each other, and they were also working adding additional feeder leagues to that mix. With not much worry coming out from LL clubs about extra relegation this year, it's looking like it will happen in 2021-22. Going into that season South clubs like Dalbeattie & Gretna might support it as makes a return easier as they'd be spending that season battling relegation. The top clubs are going to be more focused on promotion. Getting a simple majority is entirely possible.

They could be at 18 clubs by next summer with no relegation. The original LL started with 12 clubs in 2013 of which 5 have now moved elsewhere.
