I don't think the two are really comparable. Shankland had a reality check at a young age and has worked his bollocks off to get where he is which will stand him in good stead. He was very well regarded at the michty, michty Dons, but... then it felt like overnight, he was persona non grata... and gone! Part of me wants to see him absolutely fly, but if he does, there is another green-eyed part of me, which will look on enviously and think 'what could have been'.
