Can anyone explain why our crowd was so poor on Saturday ?

vs Stenny  272

vs QOS.      377 (ok, on TV, Aug)

vs Kelty      516 (first league, Aug)

vs Edin C.   414 (league cup, July)

Added to what others have said, ongoing cost of living crisis & folk have much less money than a few years back. Much as I would have liked to come (was working) Stenny aren’t a big draw for those who unavoidably pick & choose games.

Yep, and I can't help but thinking that what clubs may gain in convenience and security by using pre-payment they will surely risk losing in numbers thro the gate.

A typo is the probable answer.  SPFL/BBC/DC Thomson all gave this figure so I assume their info gathering all came from the same person.  The crowd announced at the game was 100 greater.  Your general comment about crowds is very valid and I'd be delighted to know how they are calculated by the club.  The crowd looked bigger as it did v QoS.

The league leaders at the moment visit LP on Saturday, could be a tasty game there was  a bit of needle last season with both sets of younger fans was actually pretty embarrassing looking back at it running battles in the streets etc lets hope their is less of that this time around.

Saturday past we dodged a bullet and Dumbarton will feel like they deserved all 3 points but that's football for you and we took our chance and came away with the 3 points.

Still hope SP can bring one more quality attacking option in on loan as in my opinion that's what is missing.

Sign Jos. Johnston to stop the Sammon from netting!

Yesterday was a kick in the balls with the late goal but over the piece Alloa probably deserved a draw.Right now for me though their is just something missing from that team at the minute. We have a core of a good squad definitely but I still think  if we are going to stay up the top half of the table we could do with a quality attack minded loan signing.

Special mention to Kane who has scored in the last 3 games and looks full of confidence again, probably could have done better with the 1 v 1 late on but il let him off with the earlier goal. Also good to see Blair McKenzie cement his place in the team last few games he has been excellent at CH been very impressed with him.

We are not miles off it and maybe I'm being a bit over the top having only lost the 1 game so far but just think after the last 2 weeks we could do with 1 more player coming in on loan.Good to see Kerr Waddell doing the warm up too been a massive miss and to get him fit and back on the pitch soon would be a boost.

Bumping this thread to congratulate Stewart Petrie on his Manager of the Month award and hoping that the inevitable accompanying curse has fully played out in our disappointing loss at Annan.

Away at Kelty is a tough one to avoid the MoM curse.

However, we have a pretty good record there and always seem to win when I attend.  I will try to be there.

First quarter report posted by the club.

Only 6 goals conceded in the 9 games, but only 9 goals scored (with 4 from Kane).

We are going to need more than 9 goals in the second quarter and need more contribution from our other forwards - no league goals so far from Blair, Webby, Ben, although they have been injured, chopped and changed and so maybe not the consistent games that they need.

Let's hope that Kane can also continue his recent good form, and also start scoring more than 1 goal in a game.

I hope I'm not asking for too much !
