Utter Roaster
Dross getting his turn for a puff piece in today's Times, a few weeks after Baroness Brassneck.
Crùbag
This experiment which see Ruth the Mooth in Holyrood but on her way to the Lords while DRoss is in London isn't working for the Tories. Which is fanfckntastic.

Romeo
What's today's effort? He's put a statement out saying he's voting to break the law to protect 500'000 Scottish jobs.I thought they'd struggle to find a bigger arse licker of the London Tories than Ruth but I was wrong.

Has the media described the wee p***k as “steely” in his determination to stand up against his London masters yet? That’s the usual line trotted out in complete contradiction to how servile the North Britisher footrests are.
Antlion
Wait - took my less than a minute. Torcuil Crichton was delivering the line at the start of August. ”Out of this bunch, Ross was the one who possessed the steely ambition to get ahead. He was also the one who revelled most in clashing with the phalanx of SNP MPs across the Commons chamber.” https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/politics/douglas-ross-pole-position-lead-22451275.amp
dirty dingus
He just talked at the Internal market bill where he says SNP don't speak for Scotland then say he is going to support a bill that will try end devolution, break international law, f**k over their precious farmers and fishermen and potentialy kick off troubles in the failed statelet. The Scotland he is speaking for is not one I recognise just a tiny minority and an ever decreasing circle of Brexity sectarian loons.
Highland Capital
Douglas Ross is nothing more than an attention seeker. He's now Scottish Tory leader and an MP after previously being MSP and a councillor (at the same time). Of course he's a referee and has derided his detractors in the past as simply 'jealous'. Ross' biggest priority is not Moray, nor Scotland or the UK. Douglas Ross only cares for Douglas Ross and very little else. O'Kelly Isley III
Many years ago I had a mate who promptly ceased being a mate when he defrauded the amateur football team we were both members of to the tune of thousands. I found out later he admitted that once he had started to access sums he thought 'f**k it, I've crossed the line now, I'll just keep going'. And so it is with many Tories and Labour politicians; they may start off with principles but they quickly realise that to rise in the party they have to toe the line, often parking their conscience in the process. Ross is just the latest in a long line of such stooges without a shred of integrity or self-respect.

Accurate too.
O'Kelly Isley III
Apparently this is rather amusing. Going to listen tomorrow. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/w3cszc2b Just listened to it. He was given an utter roasting, and came across as a parochial fishing-obsessed lightweight. The really good news however is that he has nothing by way of policy, ideas and vision; just another identikit Tory fixated on the prospect of Scottish Independence.
GTG_03
Fourth official/Westminster footstool dougie Ross is unveiling a half billion education package today if he becomes first minister.

Do you think he will get asked where the cash is coming from and what will have to be cut to fund it? Ill have a guess that dougie will tell us the money will be the brexit dividend or the internal market bill

There is no way Tories would propose to spend that kind of dough without it making a small number of mates rich. So cynical. Why, it's this commercial approach with various outsourcing of public service operations to private contractors ,who just so happen to donate to the Tories, that has made the UK's response to a global pandemic so world-beatingly successful. Or something.

Or something. Or the abolishment of RC education and spending a notional 500 million on "protestant" schools. The "staunch" vote would fucking love that. But aye, Mixu is right. Academies, start your own school and anything to take things out the hands of local authorities will be the announcement. Just as well he'll never get the chance to enact it.
sophia
The BBC's Drivetime radio programme had a curious piece on the Dross v farmer thingwy at 22 minutes. At first it seemed like half a story but in retrospect, the farmer's no (on the record) comment sounds awfully like an off the record denial of Dross' account. If I'm reading this correctly, Fiona Stalker called DRoss an out and out liar live on air!

As it turns out, the statement was just a load of pish about how he'd employ 3000 more teachers paid through "Barnett consequentials". A wee bit of fantasy socialism with money that may, or may not exist. I'd imagine any further funding may be swallowed up by the NHS. The free schools that exist down south is something I'd NEVER wish to see here. You can go on Gov.uk and apply to start a fucking school! https://www.gov.uk/set-up-free-school To set up a free school, you’ll need to apply through the Department for Education (DfE). A free school can be set up by groups like: academies businesses charities community or faith groups independent schools (private, fee-paying schools) parents schools maintained by local authorities teachers universities So, you can do this for profit, or as a keen amateur, to name but two. These schools actually exist down south. At least he didn't moot any of that pish. Edited September 18, 2020 by speckled tangerine Spell-ing.
