Not sure about Micky and his mellons appointment starting to become even less sure

We've played both Celtic and Sevco in our first seven matches. We've not yet come up against Hamilton, Livi or St Mirren where we should be expecting to pick up points.

Ross County have lost 5-0 at home to Celtic today. The gap is massive.

Our next 9 league games are against the non Glasgow sides. Judge Micky after that run of fixtures.

Easily beaten by a good side today. Could have been more but for Seigrist.

I think MM is going to have to rethink his tactics in certain games, and wonder at aspects such as Neilson playing on the right at the back of three, or Butcher staying on at half time when Powers was substituted. The set up today was all wrong. Edward was poor, but unlike the commentators I thought the Morelos injury was a complete accident.

The home side's midfield was especially impressive, and Bassey looked a handful when he came on.

That was awful.  Edwards and Neilson not good enough, neither is Chalmers who did nothing when he came on.  Our two best performing outfield players, Powers and Clark, were the first ones off; it makes no sense.

We have three more winnable league games ahead of us, Mellon will have to show in these games that he and this squad are up to the task.

ETA good game for Benji.

Morelos injury may have been a complete accident but it’s still a clear red, because Edwards lost control of the challenge and it became dangerous.

Anyway, comfortable win. Dominant throughout. New league record. Can’t ask for more than that.

think Mickey might be out of his depth

He learned a valuable lesson today. If he goes to Ibrox and sets his side up to play Rangers at their own game then more often than not he’ll be made to look a bit silly.

That said, they’re a newly promoted side who’ve picked up points in 3 or their first 7 games which include games against Rangers and Celtic. If they keep going the way they are going they’ll comfortably avoid relegation which I’m sure is Mellon’s main objective from the board.
