Good result today against an experienced Shippy. Looking forward to another now opponent next week when Eyemouth come to East Shore Park

HibeeJibee
Preston v Glenrothes was a washout. Luncarty made a real statement, winning at leaders HW Uni. Eyemouth took a hiding for 3rd week running as Newburgh went top. Oakley still going well. Several clubs had cup commitments. FairWeatherFan
Eyemouth were able to see out 2018-19 with these kind of results. Hopefully they won't be deterred by this form and can grind out some points when its over.
HibeeJibee
Ultimately they've returned after 1yr inactive and perhaps unlucky to face 3 teams tipped for top 5-6. After upcoming week it's Peebles, Muirkirk, Burntisland, Lochgelly, Stirling Uni EOS, Lochore, Hawick, Peebles to mid-January.

With Luncarty & Kinnoull in the same division I would say that Eyemouth have a little further to go. I think Hawick to Luncarty or Luncarty to Hawick edges it.

Really good bunch and hopefully they will grow into a team as at the moment they are not. Some decent players but no real cohesion on the park. Started from fresh this year and speaking to their manager he understands they will take time to start playing at this level. Newburgh tipped for top 6 ! Not that I have seen anywhere... we are just happy to be playing football and meeting new teams.
heedthebaa
Good luck to Eyemouth, but I think the wrong decision was made about coming back into the EOS. I’d gladly be proved wrong though
parsforlife
I think you one need to look at the results inverkeithing faced when they joined the league and the following season they won their conference to see that these sort of results can be improved upon,
HibeeJibee
Preston fell to the wet. Heriot-Watt Uni laid down another marker of their capabilities and moved clear atop, hotly pursued by Oakley whose revival continues. Lochore took an away point. HibeeJibee
Hawick RAU fielded suspended players in their win over Glenrothes on Saturday 10th October. Hawick has been deducted 3pts and Glenrothes awarded 3pts. https://www.eosfl.com/item.php?pg=league&pd=1049&it=233 Heriot-Watt University beat Burntisland Shipyard on Saturday 10th October - but the number of substitutions permitted by the referee was contrary to the rules adopted for the season. Result has been annulled and will be played again on Tuesday 25th November. Oakley go top and 3pts clear:

Is it only the Premiership, the 19/20 Scottish Cup and UEFA competition that allow 5 subs? Probably because it was the first game neither side twigged there was something wrong. Shippy made four subs, assume HWU made more than three as well otherwise the result might've stood?
HibeeJibee
Other way round: you're allowed upto 5 subs in EOS League this season. (To be made across upto 3 stoppages, not including HT). Such cases happen occasionally. Back in 2013 a ref took an Alex Jack Cup tie Gretna v Stirling Uni straight to penalties (Gretna won). It was also played again (Stirling won). Also a Junior Cup tie Bo'ness v Blantyre in 2016 which ref took to ET then abandoned in 'semi-darkness' at HT in ET before ordering penalties. However there SJFA waved Blantyre through.
