With only the BBC covering most of the live sport at the time a lot of those voices were synonymous with their sports, here's some of the ones I remember. Genuinely saddened at Alliss's passing, but the truth is he went on quite a few years too long. Good list, was thinking similar yesterday when I heard about Peter Alliss. Not many of them left, I'll add Peter O'Sullevan - Racing Eddie Waring - Rugby League Sid Waddell - Darts Kent Walton - Wrestling David Vine - Skiing (fancied a winter holiday) Alan Weeks - used to do all sorts of random stuff like ice skating and speedway.
