Dundee United v Hibs

Recommended Posts

Taking too many touches instead of just running at the players.

Even 10% more sharpness with passing and moving the ball into feet and Hibs wouldn't seem so on top.

Overall though not the worst half this season but its bloody frustrating how treacle legged our players are.

Everything we do is so fucking laboured.

This is one of my biggest issues when we have the ball.

Theres a chance for a quick thrown in, nope stop hand it on to left/right back and give opposition a chance to settle and mark up.

We get the ball with a chance of a counter attack. Its 2-3 touches, turn pass it back pass it to the side, let the opposition get back, mark up then launch it!

We have every one back for corners, if we.do get the ball out of the box, surely to god the players should know that the likes of Shankland/McNulty/Bolton should be out quickly to either close that ball down or maybe get the loose ball before opposition get all the time in the world to put it back in.

Very, very frustrating.

Listening to Dillon on our defensive actions, and I have to say I agree with him 100%

At one point Sean Dillon said "Micky is clearly struggling to fit Shankland, McNulty and Clark into the same team".

Well here's an idea.... DON"T!

Leave one of them on the fucking bench as a striking option to bring on, and if you're gonna play 442, maybe play an actual winger.

ps - don't say Bolton 😫

We are doing absolutely nothing here. I genuinely don't understand what Mellon expects to happen persisting with Clark, McNulty and Shankland all on at the same time.

Robson's been honking too, he can barely stay on his feet.

Take McNulty or Clark off and put Appere or Sporle on for some width

The full backs are pish.

McNulty is wasted out wide.

Shankland shouldn't need to come deep.

Clark has done nothing bar that embarrassing effort on the edge of the box.

Bolton is gash.

Butcher and Fuchs have made a difference while not being spectacular.

Bolton and Clark off, Aperre and Sporle on.

I'd go further and take two of the three out, and play Appere (who played well in the all too brief outing he got recently)

I'd switch to 433

Appere - Shankland - McNulty up top. (Clark off)

And *don't care* bring Pawlett into the midfield. (Bolton off)

Would also bring on Sporle at left back cos Robson is going thrpough one of those shite spells.

Agree. If we are going 5 at back and 3 up top then top 3 need to be narrower.

Hugely reliant on wing backs not being shite tho

You know whats scary, I actually think Pawlett may make a wee difference in place of Clark. Half an hour is about the length of time hed manage too. If he's interested, that is.

Anything to get Bolton off.
