Dundee FC v Arbroath FC ( Sat 13/03/21 )

Recommended Posts

Until about half an hour into their game today, Arbroath have had a great 2021 and are deservedly pushing up the table under the great Dick.

Nevertheless, anything less than 3 points against this lot at Dens and the team should commit mass seppuku at the FT whistle.

Crikey Ross, mass self-disembowelment is maybe a bit harsh in the circs.

Personally I'd settle for a mass management sacking and mass issuing of jotters.

We struggle last week to secure a point at Morton, Ayr United secure all three today with no permanent manager.

Speechless!

Arbroath will be looking for a win to avoid slipping into play off territory while Dundee will want a win to keep pushing for a top 4 finish.

If Arbroath had won yesterday (instead of gifting the points to Queens) we would have been discussing the possibility of Dundee slipping below Arbroath in the league.

Dundee will start favourites, but there is little between the two teams ( or most other teams in the league) - so a difficult game to call.

Leaning towards an away win - but only if the 'Broath are firing on all cylinders.

This will be a tricky game after the deflation of Saturday after being 2-0 up against Queens and strolling and the Dee doing well only going down 2-1 against the league-leaders.

This is a local derby and in a way "Dundee FC's Cup Final" so they will raise their game against the Red Lichties.

Sir Dick will re-group the team and i have a feeling Craigen will come back into the starting XI.

C'Mon the Red Lichties, 36-0.

Following Arbroath's last away match two weeks ago things never went well for Ayr's manager .................

Both Dundee teams seem to struggle against the 3 A's - Arbroath, Alloa and Ayr.

Expect a tight match with both teams attacking from the get go - a difficult one to call, but going for an away win.

The A teams were pretty much the only teams we could beat last season for a time, so much so we'd started adding A to other teams in match thread titles.

This season, not so much tbf.
