during the meadow v lok game

the meadow physio was booked whilst attending the stricken no7

for foul and absusive language to the ref ( GREAT BEDSIDE MANNER )

what would happen if he was sent off and

a meadow player was injured and he was the only qualified person on the meadow bench

would he be allowed on to attend to the player

is there a rule /protocol for this ?

would the opposition physio (if they have one ) be allowed on

genuine question

They can get sent off under law 5 but if they have other medical staff they have to stay.

Quote

• takes action against team officials who fail to act in a responsible manner and warns or shows a yellow card for a caution or a red card for a sending-off from the field of play and its immediate surrounds, including the technical area; if the offender cannot be identified, the senior coach present 61 in the technical area will receive the sanction. A medical team official who commits a sending-off offence may remain if the team has no other medical person available, and act if a player needs medical attention

I am qualifed referee they normally tell us

if the physio is the only member of the medical staff present they are allowed to stay on the touchline but a disciplinary would be reported to the relevant body

same applies to coaching staff if one member of the coaching staff is present

The physio was booked for expressing an opinion to the referee, our No8 Wardrobe was elbowed in the head,he was down injured with a head injury but the referee didn’t stop the game for attention, according to the rules, any head injury, the game is stopped for the player to get attention, bad refereeing

Glasgow Utd coach was sent off against Largs a few weeks ago. When he told the ref he was their registered 1st aid/physio. He was allowed to stay in dugout.

Id never seen that before.

Thats the rule, but he would face any punishment dished out after the match, usually a fine
