Siriki Dembele

Recommended Posts

Pacey forward that is getting goals in the English championship has a fair degree off skill as to the bargin

I would love to know why he hasn't had a look on yet he actually formed a lethal partnership with Ivan Tony and might even join up with him again at Brentford in Jan

Scotland really need pace in the team we genuinly don't have enough off it in the team or coming on as impact subs

Dembele can also play on the wing, who are our pacey players Forrest Fraser Adams at a push?Phillips and Burke that rightfully haven't been selected?

Would really like this guy to get a chance sooner rather than later, and maybe if we avoid another Soutar situation we will also get his wee brother to play for us since there Govan boys and grew up on the southside off Glasgow

He's probably not had a look in yet because prior to this season he'd been playing in English League 2 for Grimsby Town and latterly League 1 with Peterborough. He's doing well in the Championship now so rightly heads are turning. Does he want to play for Scotland? Should definitely be sounded out.

Don't see why he wouldn't want to play for Scotland when he has grown up here when his brothers are at Celtic

Also we have called up players out of English league one before

He was born in Ivory Coast and had lived in London before moving to Scotland. He could feel Ivorian, English, Scottish or a mix of all 3. Growing up here means nothing really, his wee brother Karamoko has lived here since he was 1 but appears to have chosen England. I accept he may change his mind when he realises he's not the next Neymar and won't be firing England to any World Cups, but it shows that the family probably don't feel much connection to any of the countries on this island and really just want to play at the highest level for the best team.

None of this is any reason not to ask Siriki if he wants a game though.

So you know the familly, and know the reasons why they left Africa then?

If not then how to you know what they feel like living here?

Plenty off youth players play for both Scotland and England before deciding who they want to represent it isn't new or strange whatsoever

Do you know if any other teams tried to call on him up off course you don't

It's actually important for black kids in Scotland to see sports stars that look like them and representing them

If the Dembele guys only knew about the rich heritage off black players in Scottish football they would be proud

If Andrew Watson can captain Scotland as a black man

Mepude and Dembele brothers can play for Scotland one day and be inspirations for black kids right across Scotland

For the record Ivory Coast wanted him for U17 squad but he was to old and they haven't came back in for him to date

Scotland are looking at him he just hasn't managed to get in yet, pretty much believe they aren't watching him for nothing and must have told Clarke that he wants to play for us

What a bizarre response. I was just pointing out that the guy might fancy playing for either England or Ivory Coast, it wasn't an attack on you or the Dembele family. If he wants to play for us and Steve Clarke thinks he can use him then brilliant, get him in the squad.

How come questioning how he fells to be Scottish or even British is a even more wild comment to be coming away with when you never met the guy

I seriously doubt Clarke is sending scouts to watch a guy who he hasn't sussed out already about him playing for us

Surely that would be a complete waste of time and resources if he wasn't 100 per cent sure that he wants to play for us?

Why would Clarke bother asking if he wanted to play for Scotland before knowing if he was any good? That’d be absolutely moronic.

No sending scouts to watch players that don't want to play for us would be,obviously a conversation has taken place or else the scouts wouldn't be on him

Also scouts talk the word has been out for ages that he is very good, watch this space he will be away in Jan to a much bigger club possibly Rangers or Celtic
