Mark Knopfler
Hello all, I am looking after a dog for a few weeks, and he looks permanently sad. Is this normal for dogs? Or should I do something to cheer him up?
Dan Steele
The dog might just still be disappointed with your New Year party guests, Mark (Sting, ffs), or you could stop playing the Blues.
Hedgecutter
Probably just missing it's normal owner after a few days of realising he/she is away for an unusually long period of time?
Sergeant Wilson
Leave it in a bag at the side of a busy road. It'll get picked up and have an idyllic new life.
Barry Ferguson's Hat
You can tell a dog is happy when it's tail is up. Use superglue to sort of 'gel' it's tail in the air and it'll be back to it's old self in no time. It allows for the serotonin produced in the tail to run into the brain or something.

At the end of the day, it's only a dog and it's not even his. Put it out the back or in another room.
