That can’t be right.  We were told by our geopolitical experts on here that sanctions were only having an effect on the foolish West, and that the Russians were playing an economic blinder and coining it in.

"Are you even an expert in..." is the new "do you even lift bro?".

There have been further assassinations of collaborators in Berdyansk, where the deputy Mayor and the head of the election commission were both killed. In addition, there was a HIMARs strike on the head quarters of military occupation administration in Kherson.

The Ukrainians appear to be moving east again in the Kupyansk area:

a quite graphic clip of very dead Russian soldiers accompanies this tweet. The info appears to be coming from Ukrainian and Russian language sources rather than Western ones, which is what was happening during the recent big advance.

Which the Russians, with a straight face, are describing as a war crime. Did they hire Baghdad Bob to do their press?

The Ukrainians being able to plant a bomb in a government building in Luhansk must be shocking to the Russians because they have controlled that city since 2014 and it's generally viewed as being very pro-Russian. Looks like the Ukrainians are slowly getting there where Lyman is concerned (to the SE of Izium but on the far side of the floodplain of a major river). Last weekend that was already being claimed to be under Ukrainian control when people were getting a bit carried away on twitter:

Reports that Ukraine have seen some losses attributed to the recently imported Iranian UAVs. Several pieces of Ukrainian equipment have been destroyed in recent days, with intelligence saying this is down to the Shahed kamikaze drone.

Ukraine seem to be lacking in air defence systems to combat these drones. I’m not sure where they’ve been used, it might be the case that Ukraine have had to mass their current air defence in Kherson and Kharkiv for the offensives and they are thinly spread elsewhere. There is talk of air defence being prioritised in the weapon shipments from Western countries.
