Now i may be wrong again here but :- Which player got relegated from the EPL 2 years in a row, and was bought by a team, was in the relegation places the year after, but was sold before making it 3 in a row. Though Matteo technically didn't play on the opening day as the Leeds game was a Sunday one on the first weekend. You've missed Paul Devlin though. He came on as sub for Birmingham against Spurs.
