Distant Doonhamer
Late goal secures a 2-1 win at home to Burton. Good stuff.
orfc
Well worth the tenner on ifollow to watch First half looked like we were going to suffer for being toothless again even though we were on top, they scored with about their only attack Second half we sorted that out

It was a great all round team performance, and a thoroughly deserved victory. Apparently they were great at Portsmouth as well and didn't deserve to lose. There's been a few of them so far, and no heavy defeats (yet.) I think, after a tough settling in period, we're gonna be ok at this level, especially if the takeover comes through and some money gets spent in January. The highlights dont show Fin Back's disallowed goal (supposedly the cross had gone behind and come back in) or Sam Lavelle's volley just over the bar - he's a great signing by the way, a really solid, calm defender, and a good leader. Still buzzing to be honest, can't beat a (nearly) last minute winner in a packed terrace!

For a ball to curl out and come back in that much you'd normally expect it to be spinning like a neutron star but it didn't seem to be
Distant Doonhamer
Carlisle lost 1-0 at Cambridge and had 2 players sent off near the end. In the bottom 4 now.

Wouldn't take a mad layout but can't deny we need it. Maybe Everton will have to sell Branthwaite for £60m and we get a big cut Edited October 28, 2023 by orfc
orfc
Orient 3-1 Carlisle Magic of the cup - penalties, mistakes etc At least we're not Swindon

DG.Roma
Another game where Carlisle have been the better team but just not managed to create chances. The goal conceded was a fluke deflection against the run of play. The squad was down to the bare bones already, and now Callum Guy's out for the season. January and the American money can't come quick enough, but there's a lot of fixtures between now and then.

Hoping for snow in December to get a few postponements in The annoying thing is we're not getting smashed, it's mostly single goal defeats, we don't need a lot but we do need it. Hopefully the takeover chucks a few quid in but our current owners have just used it as an excuse to not do anything since about August
orfc
2-0 win in the compromised trophy against Harrogate. Both goals Gibson. But a win's a win 716 att Might get through to the next round if Accrington beat Notts Forest u21 by enough next week

orfc
https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/67501658 Which of the Rangers/Celtic starting XI's should we buy? It soothes some of last night's gut punch of going out the pointless trophy after forest yoot beat Accrington They don't need to go mental, just have more than the three quid the previous owners paid for the club

orfc
World Famous Carlisle United drew 1-1 with Chorlton and The Wheelies - a very decent result with our injury list and our tendency for stage fright in front of large crowds Elsewhere in league 1, Bolton thrashed Exeter 7-0 and have won their last 6 matches on the trot - I think we played them at the right time!
