dolly Posted January 7, 2023 Share Posted January 7, 2023 Really enjoyed the game today. There wasn’t much between the teams but a good win for us considering they beat Tranent midweek. Musa is playing with a lot of confidence and we defended well. Our midfield was very effective in closing them down which forced them having to play a lot of long balls which were dealt with by our defence. Thommo, Dan and Nicky struggling to play a full game and with McCauley and Walker injured we’re a bit thin on the ground but we’ve picked up 6 points this week against two good sides so well done boys. 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

How Alasson Jones didn't get substituted is a complete mystery. Normally a 7 or 8 out of 10 performer he merited a 1 out of 10 today...,...and I am being generous. Joe Prince Wright level of contribution today. So many mistakes and errors today. Too often BU players standing waiting for a ball. We were hardly near the opposition penalty box and were lucky to only lose 1-0. It was brutal to watch and Max has his work cutout to turn things around. They misplaced what 6 passes in the first 10 minutes with very little press and we still refused to. Just sat back and waited for them to lump the ball forward which to be fair worked after their striker got the best of Todd time and time again. We had 1 shot on target all game and that was Watts chance at the end I believe afyer doing nothing and threatening very little for 85 WHOLE minutes. Beat UoS, Max changes the team. Beat Berwick, Max changes the team. Does he owe Zander a favour or something? Why is he continuously playing him for majority of the match each game when it’s clear as day he’s low on confidence and offers very little. Also Macarthur looks dodgy to me as a wingback and should be getting swapped with McCormack. No changes made at the break after looking rotten. But then he makes his changes , and brings off Lennon rather than Locke/Allassan who both had howlers today? It’s seriously bewildering sometimes. We can look fancy all we want with this side to side possession based attacking and the quick free-kicks/short corners. But means absolutely nothing when your losing to garbage like that.
