Cowdenleith
Not very encouraging first half. Started off ok with plenty possession but Dalbeattie came more into it and it was no surprise when they scored. Feels like we are second to every ball when trying to build attacks, or the passes are getting over hit and the front players are getting frustrated. It’s going to get better second half. I hope.
PELE
This is shambolic. Home against a really poor team and we are still losing. What are the tactics exactly? Plod about in our own half and then just hoof it nowhere. Absolutely dire. Has to get better second half. Surely it will.
berwick-the-unbeatable
Congrats to Nelly, it'll must be nice for him and his Cowden friends to happy clap something worthwhile for a change! Perhaps when back from the honeymoon he could co-ordinate the exit of Mr FlatEarthSpaceDoesn'tExistCovidIsn'tRealAndNeitherIsMyManagementAbility Edited August 13, 2022 by berwick-the-unbeatable
cowdenbeath0-3
Beyond embarrassing performance can’t believe what i’ve just witnessed so poor, another Saturday ruined
wulliemc
On the verge of just giving up. That must be the worst game of football I have ever paid to watch.

LongTimeLurker
Do you actually need to worry about having local derbies with Hill of Beath Hawthorn, Crossgates Primrose and Dundonald Bluebell next season now? Surprised by how poor the starts have been for both your team and the Shire. Some of the usual suspects for relegation like Edinburgh Uni and Gretna appear to be showing some signs of life.
iateallthepies
Dalbeattie are absolutely garbage, and we can't beat them.Trying to play long balls over the top against a t e am playing with a back six on a lively pitch was futile. Passes either overhit or forwards caught offside time after time. Started second half with much more urgency and quickly equalised, but then it all petered out into a miserable shitfest.

I’m more concerned about survival as a club to be honest.

We should be worried 6 games in a 2 points to show for it. we’ve still to play the likes of Kilby, Bo’ness etc.

Goes hand in hand in order to survive you have to keep people coming through the gates etc, in order to keep them coming you have to start winning. Talking to a few stock car fans there’s a rumor going around that both the stock car company and stadium are up for sale.
Hedgecutter
Despite Cowden pipping Brechin to various things over the past 15 or so years, this state of affairs is so sad to see.
Cowdenleith
Second half was much better, more urgency and had Dalbeattie on the back foot for most of it, had a number of chances to win it, passed them up. Long old season in store.

Cowdenleith
I would really like Aikhamenze to be given a run as starter, must be some way to fit him in to the system. He always look lively in the limited time he is given, and did again today. Also noticed that Sammy Ompreon liked quite a few recent Cowden instagram posts, must keep an eye on things is he pining for a return to Central Park? On the bright side, at least we’re not Man Utd fans.
silkybeath
All comments above pretty much sums up the day. The small but loyal support continue to show patience during the game despite an absolutely shambolic performance. Unfortunately Maurice is unable to help when the game starts but he set the team up and clearly was asking for a long diagonal ball which didn't work and never was. We will struggle to play a poorer team this season but did not trouble our ex keeper at any point. This is a young team but they need to offer more and fast. A win is hopefully just around the corner.

Cowdenleith
Looked like the wee shop was doing a good bit of business today, despite the small crowd. Good range of merchandise this season, well done, daughter’s wanting one of those t-shirts next time we’re over.
