Lowland League General Discussion

Do the Lowland League ever re-schedule games or is it just left to the whims of the clubs involved? Rumour is that Rovers tried to arrange a couple in recent weeks but were turned down by the opposition. After todays' postponement we have 5 outstanding games, 4 were due to cup commitments.

You’ve probably seen that the game with Cowdenbeath has been arranged for Tuesday 31 October at Central Park.

“Majority of the Lowland League sides are in @SouthChallenge Cup action, this weekend 🏆

@csstrollers v @BroomhillFC is the standalone Lowland League fixture.

Whilst @officialEKFC have a derby v @acciesfc in the @SPFLTrust Trophy.”

When is the draw for the next round

Down to 32 teams, although two 3rd round ties still to be played. Again, fingers crossed for St Andrews away 🙂

Was at the Cumbernauld-Irvine Meadow game yesterday. As the relative league positions would suggest should be the case, Cumbernauld were the better side, although made a lot harder work than they'd have liked in putting their opposition away. Two late goals put a bit of a shine on the result, having gone 1-0 & 2-1 up, & then quickly let the visitors back into the game on both occasions, with poor defending offering a helping hand. Colts away to East Stirlingshire midweek, & suspect that they'll need to up their game a couple of notches if they're to take 3 points.

Top five getting away from the rest at the moment. Just the five points between 6th and 15th, Albion Rovers games in hand just  below that.

Celtic B already lost as many league games as they did last season?

Good chance of 15th and 16th advancing on the table as well. What a wonderful league this will be in a season or two.
