Monkey Tennis
In fairness to Flash my reading of his post was probably skewed by your response to it more than what he actually posted. That's quite amusing. Apologies to Flash.
RUSTY1111
Great watching on Alba just now, Queens defeating Rangers on penalties at Ibrox three seasons ago with McGuffie hitting the winning goal. RUSTY1111
Great watching on Alba just now, Queens defeating Rangers on penalties at Ibrox three seasons ago with McGuffie hitting the winning goal. Rangers are thinking this a great Cup Final occasion when they couldn't even reach this final in all their previous attempts so far. To think Queens won this final at Livingston exactly 3 years ago. Partick v Queens should have been played at Hampden Park, anyway. The National Stadium gets the final automatically because an Old Firm club gets to a final. Garbage...

They reached the final two years ago and lost to Raith with a certain Mr Baird scoring the late, late winner and Lee Robinson in goal. That final was at Easter Road, not Hampden. Partick v Queens should never in a million years have been at Hampden. Don't be daft. It would have been 80% empty. Livingston was as good an option as there was for it. A memorable, heated atmosphere, would not have occurred.

Probably correct in saying that Partick v Queens was better at Almondvale than Hampden right enough.
RUSTY1111
Good to see former Queens player Kevin Dzierzawski playing in the cup final for the Blue Toon...
RUSTY1111
That cup final had everything. Great day. It was fantastic that day. Clark ran straight to the crowd after scoring just where I was sitting just 3 rows from the front.
RUSTY1111
Surprised at Salmond getting this Cup Final. He's utter garbage. Edited April 10, 2016 by RUSTY1111
RUSTY1111
I see that Higgins has a clause in his contract to stay at Palmerston for next season, as he said in his podcast after the Raith game.
JessieField
I can't see Queens picking up another point this season. If that happens then there must be major changes or we'll be in the playoffs next year at the wrong end of the table.

You genuinely don't think we'll take anything from either Alloa or Livi?

Guest Flash
22 goals conceded in the last 10 games. In the 10 before that, we conceded 8. Could this partly be a result of losing both full-backs for a while and, in particular, the way Fowler has dealt with the loss of Marshall? Playing Higgins at left back weakens the centre of defence while probably not really improving the left back slot more than it would by playing a midfielder there. Not sure. The defence hasn't been great all season, especially at dealing with corners and crosses into the 6 yard box. But in recent games, it seems to have become shambolic. Maybe it is just the case that Brownlie is inconsistent and time is catching up with Dowie and Higgins. But that wouldn't really explain the apparently sudden collapse.

Was relieved to find that Livi are 10 points below us with 3 games left.
palmy_cammy
Robinson is a bit of a cult hero, and did a good job for us in his 3(?) spells with us. By all accounts he's a nice guy as well (I've never spoken to him). He's the answer to a question that doesn't need answering though.
QosLoyal
Really? You genuinely don't think we'll take anything from either Alloa or Livi? Probably livingston but alloa could go either way.
19QOS19
Probably livingston but alloa could go either way. I'd say that's more likely to be the other way around. We're currently 6-2 up on Alloa on aggregate this year whereas we're 4-4 (or 4-5 down if you include the cup) with Livi. This and the fact Alloa have nothing to play for but Livi may well still be able to avoid the playoffs with a win would quite comfortably make me more confident of a win against Alloa rather than Livi.
