They have a EOS league game and they haven't been able to persuade they opponents (Whitburn) to move. Only been known about for a couple of months but there you go, lucky Craigmark getting into the last 32. archieb
Has anybody got any idea why Fraserburgh Utd were still in the draw for R3 yesterday despite apparently being defeated on penalties by Irvine Vics in R1 and Vics scheduled to play at Troon in R2 next Saturday? Is there some sort of appeal going on? Ineligible player or some such?

Is there some sort of appeal going on? Ineligible player or some such? Suppose we'll just have to wait until Irvine tweet about their upcoming game against Troon (or not). The SJFA suspensions page lists three players but they weren't on the Twitter teamsheet - a Chris Jackson played for Vics and a Christopher Jackson (Vale of Leven) is suspended but don't know if they are the same player...
LeedsPhil
Fraserburgh United's reply to me asking them : "We were notified that vics fielded a suspended player. They have a week to appeal. We will find out at the start of next week what is happening."

ham1sh68
Scottish Junior Cup 2nd Round Ties featuring NRJFA Clubs this week: Aberdeen East End v Sunnybank Banchory St Ternan v Gartcairn Beith Juniors v Hermes Darvel v Glentanar Ellon United v Bathgate Thistle Forres Thistle v Thorniewood United Montrose Roselea v Shotts Bon Accord Newmachar United v Letham FC Rothie Rovers v Glenafton Athletic FC Stonehaven FC v Culter FC Stoneywood Parkvale v Bellshill Athletic FC First the good news. There are two all North ties so we are guaranteed two Clubs in the next Round. Possibly East End and Culter but it will be very tight. Now the bad news; not many prospects for the other clubs progressing. BST may come a cropper against Gartcairn. Hermes and Glentanar are away to Beith and Darvel and may face a long weary trip home. Despite home advantage, can't see anything for Ellon United, Forres Thistle, Montrose Roselea or Newmachar United. Rothie are a feisty bunch but Glenafton have seen it/done it all before. Stoneywood Parkvale are another lot who get stuck in so they might surprise Bellshill. Very much hope I am wrong and I am being too pessimistic. Can't wait. Anyone else care to peer into the Crystal Ball and make a better job of it?

No details of the player involved has been given either. There were a couple of South Challenge Cup games featuring suspended players yet they were sorted out within a few days, even with an appeal it surely wouldn't have dragged on this long.
