For me he’s not as good as Scales or Stewart in central defence and not as good as Ramadani or Clarkson in midfield. Aberdeen’s weaknesses seem to be defensively this season whereas that has been the strongest part of their team over the last few years. Aberdeen’s defence has been terrible, at least since Derek McInnes left, and arguably before that. Frustrating number of attacks breaking down to misplaced passes from Hallberg and Phillips - and frustrates me that the two CBs either side of the v impressive Mitchell seem so hesitant to play football or even support the midfield. Bair is improving but missed another good chance. I think he’s probably just about worth persevering with, especially over our other options.
