St Johnstone vs Aberdeen 20/8/22

Not a match for sitting in, so really hope we don’t.

Aberdeen’s weaknesses seem to be defensively this season whereas that has been the strongest part of their team over the last few years.

Lets cause them a problem and let our defence deal with their threats, rather than the whole team behind the ball.

Aberdeen’s defence has been terrible, at least since Derek McInnes left, and arguably before that. Jim Goodwin’s quote that the defence would be easy to fix looking more and more ridiculous as the weeks go on, new players but same old failings.

    Morris.

I really didn't see much positive in Morris last Saturday.  He repeatedly switched off when he was required to contribute defensively.

Think we look alright again. Frustrating number of attacks breaking down to misplaced passes from Hallberg and Phillips - and frustrates me that the two CBs either side of the v impressive Mitchell seem so hesitant to play football or even support the midfield. Bair is improving but missed another good chance. I think he’s probably just about worth persevering with, especially over our other options. I’m liking Carey a lot but his corners are rank

Only other thought: Phillips is gonna get sent off about 10 times this season with these refs.
