This Chripper/SlayerX/GilmourFan dude clearly has a screw loose or two and has no life outside threse forums.

I am almost certain without even looking that he's now created an account on the Napoli forum and posting there as 'GilmourFan' or 'McTominayFan' going over the top with his/her praise for the two, posting all sorts of statistical analysis and coming across really deranged.

Yeah, he has looked good.

Has mixed things up very well - releasing the ball at the right times and roasting the full back at others. He was unlucky not to score, and did really well to create the chance for himself - the angle was just narrowed too much.

He has an absolutely excellent first touch - technically very good.

82 minutes.

He was OK. Was involved in the first Middlesbrough goaland generally looked lively.

He also had a 1-one-1 that he could've scored with.

Onto the next match.

Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy too early to be calling him to start with Scotland, particularly against top nations like Portugal and Croatia*.

*Good call, Shaggy. Two starts in the English Championship, so obviously he's ready to face the 2016 European Championship winners and the Semi finalists of the World Cup in 2022.

From the same mind who implied that Gilmour was on the same level as Ballon d'or winning Modric.

Particularly with McGinn out for this double header, you’d have to think either Doak or Gauld stand a better chance of starting, depending on what Clarke is looking for.

His touch for his 1 on 1 in the 2nd half was exceptional. General play was good and looked sharp. Hopefully he continues to improve as the first team minutes come.

That's two starts in a row for Middlesbrough now. In theory no reason for him not to be in contention to start for Scotland

Particularly given the competition.

I certainly wouldn’t be starting James Forrest or Lewis Morgan in front of him.

Get this mentality to the sea.

The nations league is as good as over so makes perfect sense to get Doak ready for the World Cup qualifiers by playing him from the start from now on.

Let's face it, our wide men are bog standard and not worth persevering with and Doak is gonna be our main man for the next decade so let's get him the gametime he needs to develop.

Yes, exactly like that? Nobody would have said the Euros was over after 2 games when we needed to win the last one.

We had our most winnable game in our third fixture at the euros and even then we could barely muster a glove on Hungary.

This group is a lot harder and we've already blown it by losing to Poland at home and then on top of that, losing a late goal against Portugal.

How many times have we seen this script before? Get the likes of Doak bedded in now.

We have to better polands results to get a play off chance

So beat them away and take a point in 1 game v Croatia

Hmm highly unlikely but then again scott Mctominay might just do it all by himself
