I liked him, even though he never really got fit in his time with us and had to play through injuries, which meant that he wasn't great when defending and couldn't last 90 minutes. A decent goalscorer in League One, though, scoring a variety of goals, and I thought his linkup play was pretty decent despite Rankin saying otherwise. Apparently at the game last weekend wearing Ayr training gear, despite not having signed a contract. Clearly doesn’t appreciate the impact injuries limiting his game time to next to nothing over the last two seasons has on his value and isn’t willing to adjust his wage expectations accordingly. This is exactly what I was thinking, but if he's still asking for mental wages then it's a big no thanks from me.
