TxRover
Interesting dive into polling numbers shows something strange going on. Asked on an individual level, 75%+ of respondents called their personal economic situation as good or very good. 85% expect to improve their position this year. Now, when you phrase the questions a bit differently and ask about national outlook, it turns more negative. The thing is, the national situation is comprised of all the individual situations together, so it suggests there is a built in polling bias on the national polls, perhaps because of all the media stories suggesting the economy is in trouble.

They are running out of criteria on how badly the economy is doing: https://www.wsj.com/livecoverage/stock-market-today-dow-jones-earnings-01-19-2024

Wow, a pregnant woman miscarried while caught in razor wire. The schemes of these men are astonishingly wicked. In the USA they'll probably be doubly delighted that the woman didn't need to have an abortion. Horrible, horrible people.

I’m just surprised she wasn’t then arrested and charged with murder. I guess the risk of a finding of conspiracy to commit murder against Abbott and Co. would have been collateral to that charge…but it’s not in line with Republican’s protect the unborn and f**k’em after they’re born (we’ve elected to decline the summer food funds for kids around the poverty line because ???)

An attempt to fuse the anti-establishment, anti woke, owning the libs vibes of Trump with the more conventional neo-con, slightly libertarian, grey men in grey suits type of Republicanism. Thankfully, version 1.0 is an unlikeable, off putting wee oddball with zero charisma from Florida. The next effort might be more successful unfortunately.
