Man of the Match is a football video game for both consoles and PC. 🎮🖥️⚽ It is free to play (No microtransactions!) , play to earn (Not NFT!), and built for the community and by the community.

In Man of the Match (MOTM), you can choose to play two main roles: You can choose to play as a player🏃, and you can choose to play as a manager👨‍💼. With state-of-the-art image capture technology, we will be able, by your personal mobile device, to scan your face, capture every detail, every wrinkle, and embed it into the game, giving you your very own, personal avatar, so you can manifest yourself in the game.

As a player, you and your new avatar will need to make the best choices for your football career, alongside your teammates, who will also have their own realistic avatars.

A complete 11v11 multiplayer football video game where everyone plays themselves! 🤯

I have no opinion on this, I just saw it in my recommendations and thought I should share it. There's a Kickstarter which looks, er, ambitious: Man of the Match: Welcome to the Football-verse by Man of the Match, Inc. — Kickstarter

Reminds me of the old game Football identity apart from the scanning your face in etc

FID was a great laugh, signing for a team, training everyday, playing matches 2 or 3 times a week, being on teamspeak and coordinating with your teammates (trying to play an offside trap with guys from other countries is some fucking laugh lol)

These projects always seem populated with people who have believed at some point that the reason the likes of FIFA and FM aren't perfect isn't at all because to do so is actually quite hard.  When FM Live died, there were people wanting to create an alternative, and the project died.  There have been a few alternatives to the likes of PES and FIFA, all with the usual fanfare and talk of how this is definitely going to be the killer of the big titles, and they never do.  Because it's hard to even provide a solid game in this genre, let alone a really great one.

Maybe this one will break the mould.  I definitely think the likes of Pro Clubs in FIFA isn't as well fleshed out as it should be, so there's a gap there.  But unless I'm mistaken (I flicked through it muted just there) there's nothing in the video in the OP that shows you what the game is actually going to be like.
