Heid_The_Baw
Who do you want in this fantastic high quality tournament? Do you want your team to lose money by going to a game away in Wales or Northern Ireland? Do you want to play Celtic or Rangers kid teams? Draw is at 1pm. Lets see what thrilling fixtures it throws up. If we have to persist in playing in this guffy cup, we should get a bye to the final (seeing as we play in the final almost every year). Otherwise time to ditch it or make it voluntary. Too much risk of injury against seaside league cloggers for teams that either have aspirations of promotion or avoiding the drop. itzdrk
Always said that I like the idea of a challenge cup. You get drawn first so you set the challenge. First time out the hat: Dumbarton v Linfield 'Dumbarton have challenged Linfield to compete in a pie eating competition'

Broken Algorithms
Cup forum for this nonsense. It's a fun tournament if you win it. I came out the final last season completely unbothered that we'd lost. We won it in one of the few years it had relevance in the best possible circumstances. You could pretty much say we've completed it. You'll never get better than watching thousands of Rangers fans streaming for the exits in the final of a cup they expected to win. The ultimate indignity for them.
Thumper
Will be amusing to see if Hibs's under-17s are any better in European competition than the first team. Also this is Bullen's chance for revenge against his (other) big team.

SandyCromarty
Move to Domestic Cup forum where it will languish.
Richey Edwards
I have been tirelessly campaigning for the abolition of the Challenge Cup for over 15 years now. I would urge anyone who isn't a VL to email the SFA and UEFA to demand the immediate abolition of this unethical and illegal football tournament.

Think you will have a job convincing any football authority of that. It seems to be well established for “b” teams to compete in minor competitions and even lower leagues in other countries.
