Hibernian v St.Mirren - League Cup QF

Well that comfortably trumps the Motherwell game as our worst performance of the season. We could hardly string two passes together and far too many mistakes. Hibs were easily the better team pretty much from start to finish and we were very fortunate to be leading at HT.

Absolutely no complaints. Better team won.

We’ll need to seriously buck our ideas up if we want to get 3 points at Killie on Saturday.

Boyle may be a cheating b*****d. But what a valuable cheat to have in your team.

Won the foul (about his 8th) that got them possession back then when Gogic’s interception fell to him hits it in off the underside of the var.

Even after that still thought we’d come back and equalise.

Not to be.  Frustrating as not going to do a Well fan and pretend I didn’t want to win this game.

Also, young Taylor is going to be a player one day, but he’s just far enough away that he’ll cost us.

When it went to 1-1 last thing we wanted to do was lose a quick second.  Makes a great defensive interception, sprints out 40 yards and the ball bobbles away from him.

5 seconds later the ball lands on the penalty spot to his unmarked man.

No surprises in tonight's results.

It's kind of like the World Cup. It's good to see the wee diddy teams do well for a bit, but, ultimately, the public want The Big Boys in the semis.

What a year for the League Cup.

GAME ON.

Viaplay certainly got the result they wanted tonight.

True. But the neutrals like a diddy underdog.

Hearts won't be short of support I'm sure.
