Enjoyed the Reading clip but haven’t actually seen them before so have nothing to compare with. They not usually that rough around the edges? (Visually I mean, the playing was pretty tight) Nah. They’re coked up to the eyeballs. That said, I saw them years ago before they released the first album and the singer had that same two parts Gallagher threat to one part Bono ego thing that he still has. The rest of the band seemed amusingly demure in retrospect. An album a year for half a decade coupled with endless touring will do funny things to a man.
Savage Henry
New Nick Cave is… ballad central. Not sure I love it, not sure I don’t.
RayBees
MJ Lenderman’s new album Manning Fireworks puts me in a happy place. I’ve listened to it driving up the A9 a few times over the weekend. Just great great songs.

Craig fae the Vale
It's an EP and not an album, but it's my favourite release of the year so far. Sleepy Girls by Big Girl's Blouse. Six tracks and every one is perfect. @MSUyou'll love it! It should be streaming worldwide.

Savage Henry
Not a new album, per se, but the 25th (!) anniversary remaster of Tom Waits’ Mule Variations is a great example of how subtle remastering can enormously improve a listening experience of an already great record. Absolutely luscious remix.
coprolite
Noga Erez- Vandalist. Shouty poppy rap. Quite fun, a bit young for me. Tindersticks -soft tissue. Top quality loungey blues. Not too young…
Craig fae the Vale
It's been out for five months, but it must be noted that Owen's The Falls of Sioux is an absolute masterpiece. Mike Kinsella is a genius.

To be honest they struck me more as Austin slackers than an international act, but I’ll certainly be at that.
Jives Miguel
Geordie Greep (of black midi) debut solo album seems to be a concept album about a man and a prostitute on first listen. -

I don’t know about that, but it certainly doesn’t take itself as insufferably seriously as Black Midi. It's definitely at least a common theme on the album. 3 of the songs are about it. -Holy, Holy speaks for itself, whole song is a about a hooker. -Walk Up sounds to me like someone visiting a brothel during their lunch break: "Walk up to failure Walk up to regret Walk up to a place you’ll never forget Past the pregnant guard The red paradise of dreams and scars Leg scars, arm scars, stomach scars lead by far The marks of the old country start The old cliche, exploitation blues The offers no young hungry things could refuse “Welcome to Hell” She may as well say" "You still smell her snatch As you trawl the accounts Flip through the company books You can say you rode coattails of blind chance I know you itch for romance Another lonely еxecutive c**t The kind that only knows how to pay to touch In thе boardroom Your fish fingers shake hands with the top-flight men Check your balls for lumps once they’ve left What’s that itch? Is that new?" - As If Waltz, is a love song with every verse an course lamenting that we only has an hour. Definitely about a prostitute -

Keyser Soze
My first foray into this sort of thing so take it easy on me - Linkin Park - From Zero, out on November 15th, pre ordered on the sea blue vinyl. I know there are some questions around Emily Armstrong and her background but her voice is just IMHO f**king brilliant.
