Enjoyed the Reading clip but haven’t actually seen them before so have nothing to compare with. They not usually that rough around the edges? (Visually I mean, the playing was pretty tight) Nah. They’re coked up to the eyeballs. That said, I saw them years ago before they released the first album and the singer had that same two parts Gallagher threat to one part Bono ego thing that he still has. The rest of the band seemed amusingly demure in retrospect. An album a year for half a decade coupled with endless touring will do funny things to a man.
Savage Henry
New Nick Cave is… ballad central. Not sure I love it, not sure I don’t.
RayBees
MJ Lenderman’s new album Manning Fireworks puts me in a happy place. I’ve listened to it driving up the A9 a few times over the weekend. Just great great songs.

Craig fae the Vale
It's an EP and not an album, but it's my favourite release of the year so far. Sleepy Girls by Big Girl's Blouse. Six tracks and every one is perfect. @MSUyou'll love it! It should be streaming worldwide.

Savage Henry
Not a new album, per se, but the 25th (!) anniversary remaster of Tom Waits’ Mule Variations is a great example of how subtle remastering can enormously improve a listening experience of an already great record. Absolutely luscious remix.
