Defence wise, we've lost McAllister to an injury, Stanger suspension and illness, which meant McAllister was rushed back. Reading to an injury, Mutch to an injury so it has been very patchy with Tomlinson RB and Musonda LB. Lost Chalmers to an injury and just coming back now, although has been out of form.

Chalmers has been played in a way that pretty much renders him useless. Syla being dropped has coincided with us leaking goals, he tried Tomlinson at right back before McCallisters injury and he’s played Bryden out wide left a few times as well.
We have had a lot of changes in defence including going to a back 3 and a back 5, which seems dodgy when we are changing defenders as well as the midfield in front of them as much.

I'd like to see the SPFL have to deal with two teams finishing 8th and 9th with identical records having to have a play-off to decide who goes into the relegation play-off.

Ourselves and Clyde were briefly threatened with this years ago. but we spoiled the potential fun by winning comfortably at Firhill on the final day.

Did it not also happen with two teams in this league more recent than that (Ayr and Dunfermline maybe?) for promotion, going into the last game there was a possibility they'd finish with exact same records, can't remember whether one of them had head to head advantage or whether it would have been a playoff.

Given the current rules, its tough to get an exact tie.

Airdrie is the one closest to several of the rest in Tie Breakers, but is 4 points clear of the bunch at 32.

1st Tie Breaker is GD (Airdrie and ICT or Queen's Park and the Pars are both within 2)

2nd Tie Breaker is GF (that's ICT, Airdrie and the Pars all within 4 total)

3rd Tie Breaker is HtH Points (Airdrie beat ICT 7-4, lead QP 5-2 w/1 to go, trail the Pars 3-6 w/1 to go...the Pars trail QP 3-6 w/1 to play and draw ICT 3-3 w/1 to play)

4th Tie Breaker is HtH GD (Airdrie lead QP 4-3 and draw the Pars 4-4, both w/1 game to play...Pars trail QP 3-5 and draw ICT 2-2, both w/1 game to play)

5th and final Tie Breaker is a match

Overall, the best chance for a tie breaker match seems to be Airdrie vs QP, the Pars vs QP (except expecting the Pars to score three goals, let alone win by three goals borders on fantasy) or the Pars vs ICT (possible the most likely, as it requires another draw HtH, but still needs the Pars to make up a two goal deficit on ICT)

It could have happened with ourselves and Forfar at the top of League One in 2015.

Morton were at home to Peterhead on the final day with a record of P35 F62 A39 Pts66.

Forfar were at home to Ayr with a record of P35 F58 A40 Pts66.

A 2-1 win for Morton and a 6-0 win for Forfar would have seen the teams end on identical records of P36 F64 A40 Pts 69.

The head-to-heads between the teams were:

Forfar 3-2 Morton

Morton 2-0 Forfar

Forfar 1-2 Morton

Morton 0-2 Forfar

So an aggregate head-to-head of 6-6, although Morton scored more away goals, which wouldn’t be considered.

In the end, Morton won 3-1 and Forfar lost 1-3 so Morton won the title without too much sweat on the final day.
