Better late than never... The usual suspects (plus Stornoway Athletic) into the semis, would be good to see an Island team into the final, a tough challenge against the Stabbs, but a good chance. I'm going to call Spurs v Stabbs at Harmsworth though.

Quarter Final results (Saturday 13th July)

1230 Pentland Utd 2-1 Ness (Culbokie Park)
1230 Stornoway Athletic 4-0 Helmsdale Utd (Maryburgh PF)
1500 High Ormlie Hotspurs 3-1 Black Rock Rovers (Ormlie Park)
1500 Sleat & Strath 2-3 Avoch (Mackinnon Park)

Semi Final ties (Saturday 3rd August)

1230 Stornoway Athletic v Pentland Utd (Culbokie Park)
1400 Avoch v High Ormlie Hotspurs (The Links, Tain)

Pentland United 2 Avoch 1. Guy on FitbaNorth saying that only one of Pentland's starting 11 had no Highland League experience. Wondering how they got their Stabbs nickname.  Congratulations to them on their ninth Highland Amateur Cup! :thumsup2

A bit late but I got asked to cover this game, it was a pretty decent game to be honest....Avoch really needed to capitalise more on their first half dominance and also would help if their keeper (Slainy) would catch the ball rather than punch

What was the weather like? Crowd looks smaller than last year, it was packed out but the weather was glorious.

Weather was fine, bit windy but not cold.

Definitely not as busy as it was last year, but still a decent turn out, the halftime 50/50 was about £300 so conservative guess the crowd was 750(ish)
