A pretty comfortable day for Broxburn today down in Sanquhar... eventually! At 1-1 we gave the ball away and Nithsdale hit the post. If that went in, would have been interesting to see how they defended the lead. As it was, Broxburn got a couple of relatively fortunate goals and once there was a clear lead, it was only going to end one way.

5-1 at half time and same again 2nd half to end 10-2. The only negative was conceding a couple of bad goals again and arguably could have scored more, but were a bit wasteful with chances, especially 2nd half.

But loads of positives. No injuries, some really well taken goals and with the game decided early getting all the subs on early for a decent run out.

Yes, pleased to see us winning the game first before making lots of changes. A big gulf between the leagues as the scoreline showed but hospitality was top level. Best of luck to Nithsdale. Feel a bit sorry for them in the end

Given you scored 10 goals, I’m not sure your interest in “how they defended a lead” would have lasted long. 😂😂

That's 3 times in recent years I've seen South sides against East/LL sides and every time it's been a big score that could have been bigger. Think Nithsdale dug in and kept going as much as they could, but at all times Broxburn had another gear.

Like you, I hope today was a good wee experience for them and hopefully they can figure a way to close the gap a bit whilst enjoying the rest of their season.

Haha. You never know, though! 1-1 against a back 4 is easier to break down than 2-1 behind and a parked bus! But I'd like to think Broxburn would still at least nudge back in front!!
