You've presumably never watched the B teams then, because hoofing it is exactly what they do. Their main advantages over their Lowland League opponents is pace up front against slower defenders, so they just bang it over the top and into channels for their lads to chase. If the B teams were developing players for the Scotland team then I could live with it, even if I hate how they got to the Lowland League. tamthebam Posted May 27 Share Posted May 27 In 2016 Edinburgh City got beat 2-1 by a Motherwell B team containing David Turnbull, Peter Morrison (now Alloa), Jake Hastie (now Hamilton Accies), Jordan Armstrong (now Peterhead), Jack McMillan (now Partick) and James Scott (St Mirren). Basically we got to see the cream of future Seaside League players. Motherwell were good hosts to us and there wasn't a bad crowd considering. But I wouldn't fancy having to face another B team again. We also had a fun trip to Wales to play Gonad's Quay Cluggers but given their style of play and the standard of refereeing we might as well have gone to play a lower West of Scotland League Ayrshire team. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
