League Cup Group H - Ross County, Raith Rovers, Hamilton, Stirling & Stranraer

Recommended Posts

That was not a classic, but a wins a win at this stage. We do look several bodies short for a Premiership campaign, though.

Could’ve done with Livingston dropping points as well now need to better their result by one goal to be seeded in the next round, assuming both Aberdeen and Dundee win at the weekend.

Defence rough for much of the game and Hamilton sliced through the midfield far too many times. On the plus, Macleod looking more composed with each game and Hale goal was a corker.

Unless the midfield and defence get sorted we’ll get hammered by many Premiership teams.

I thought County were poor, seriously lacking in talent in  midfield.  On a positive note I was  surprised how good  the Premier Sports coverage was.

Can only comment on Saturday and tonight, but we’ve been so poor in both games. Look weak defensively, look toothless in the middle and bang average up front… seriously lacking attacking prowess…

You've gotta be happy with Hale getting his first goal, even if there's plenty to be worried about. Can only hope Don has noticed it too & there's an attempt to bring in...at this point "anything" would be a start.

How many group winners get seeded?

I can see that along with County, Aberdeen, Dundee & Livi could get the maximum of 12 points, if they all win their final matches. County not so good on goal difference.

Motherwell & Alloa just behind with 1 draw, with a bonus penalty win.

3 are seeded. So assuming Aberdeen and Dundee win today we would need to better Livingston's result by a goal for a seeding if we win

Hale puts County 1 up after 30mins.

Lamie subbed off after what looked like an awkward twist, Reid replaces him & goes to LCB, with Leak going central, where Lamie was.

Hale makes it 2-0 with a composed tap in after a nice through ball from Loturi & a nice run from Hale.

Very comfortable 1st half from County, guilty maybe of trying to walk it in at times.

Grieves, MacLeod, Harmon & Hale the stand outs imo.

On hols so not at game but just watched highlights on hotel WiFi. Hale looks handy!

We were screaming out for someone to have a dig at goal. We had loads of attacking possession but were imo, too tippy tappy & guilty of trying to walk it into the net.

Hale's 1st from outside the box was exactly what was required.

Brophy was unlucky to have a goal chopped off for offside.
