StewartyMac Posted May 29 Share Posted May 29 One of Scotland's oldest (and largest, size wise) trophies makes a welcome return next season for the first time since 2016. The world famous Stirlingshire Cup. Stirling Albion, Alloa, Dumbarton(??), East Stirlingshire, Falkirk and Stenhousemuir will all be competing for this most prestigious of honours. Two groups of three, winners to meet in the final. Stenny are still technically the current holders having won the last tournament in 2015. Would have been a nice opportunity to maybe knock it up to 9 or 12 teams and/or a different format given the amount of local teams now in the pyramid. There must be a bunch in tier 5 and 6. There was Bo'ness in the cup too at one point but I don't think it was United.
