Inzaghi Posted July 31 Share Posted July 31 Glasgow University 0 Glasgow United 3 Bizarre game...The University losing both their goalkeepers to red cards for bringing down the last man.....both penalties missed by Goodwillie....he also hit the woodwork on 4 occasions....a third was awarded and scored by Scott Hadden who was the main man with a fine performance ,rolling back the years... How long will Glasgow Uni use Airdrie.....and why are league allowing them to. 6 quid entry not a problem but to have no concession for pensioners ain't right , kids as young as 9 being charged half price....and not allowed a kick about at halftime... An Absolute Imposter Posted August 4 Share Posted August 4 In this day and age with refs getting pelters from all and sundry. Would like to give special mention to ref at Threave/Irvine Vics match. Just before half time the Vics no.10 caught the Threave keeps after a free-kick. There was a bit of afters with the usual clowns from both sides getting involved. Ref kept calm, quietened it all down and booked both players involved at the start of it, just to put an end to it. A mere minute or two later the Vics no.10 slid in on the Threave no.3. The boy was late but there appeared no malice in the challenge. Would have been easy for the ref to produce another yellow and send Vics down to 10. Ref again remained calm and waited. Had a word with the 10 and no more. As far as I can recall there were no more incidents involving the Vics 10. Well done ref for diffusing both incidents and the others that obviously happened. I don't see the problem, if they drop down then they totally deserve to drop down as they have finished in the bottom 3 but 3 of the teams in this division will finish bottom 3 and thus deserve to be relegated. Vics losing nearly 4 games per game in the past 4 league matches, does not look good reading I agree, a bit shocked at their start but do expect them to come out of it and do well, think the start would harm their promotion chance. Not a fan of the club, typical old school committee, quite happy just plodding along, they even film the games complete and don't give a copy to the vesting team incase anyone else sees how they play, so the cameraman said.
