Applying the Faslane calculator Jackie Baillie was actually on the labour front bench for over 2 million years, quite some achievement tbh.

And she's fat

According to Andrew Marr, Ricky Leonard “has been a hugely popular figure in Scottish politics”. Anyone?

He did say that during a press review and neither Sarah Smith nor John Nicholson batted an eyelid.

I'm a former Labour voter and to be honest I'm finding Richard Leonard nothing short of inspirational.  His environmental policy announcement on the minimum use of J-Cloths was a zinger..

Just in case anyone was wondering what the point of Labour is.

Universal Credit is going to be a disaster.

We'll agree on that last statement, but please do not try and convince us that Labour will be in any position soon to do anything about it.  In Corbyn and Leonard they have two of the most uninspiring and insipid politicians of the age, and I'm afraid for every anorak like us debating on here there are 10,000 potential voters who take a much more superficial view of proceedings, influenced of course by the right-wing media, and especially the further South you travel in the UK.

And you are also making a considerable assumption that even if Labour were returned to power they would be able to pause long enough in the attritional war that would ensue to provide capable and deliverable governance, never mind the party's habitual practice of rowing back from what needs to be done - Trident replacement anyone, just how does that fit with mitigating austerity ?

I decided several elections back that myself and my family's future interests is increasingly unlikely to be best served by Westminster, whichever party is in power there.  Time to remove those rose-tinted specs my friend.

I had him pegged as Stephen Daisley.

Or the Scottish edition of the Daily Telegraph made sentient and posting on P&B.

Emmm no swing and a miss champ.

Funny how you can't deal with being dismantled on the facts and run from direct debate

So you agree with this pointless and politically motivated purge by Leonard? It's self destructive and all to let a man accused of sexual assault back into a bigger position too!

I quit when they decided to prioritise folk like Rowley over pursuing a meaningful accountability process.

I always zone out whenever anyone says "far left" tbh. There's not a single politician of note in the UK that's far left, and it just makes the folk who say it look lazy and fucking stupid.

Pro-tip: if you think Corbyn is, you also believe Tony Blair edited the Morning Star.

Labour have opposed UC at every opportunity. Not one Labour MP has voted in favour of it.

I don't believe you can suggest that abstaining is opposing. if you oppose something, you normally vote against it - even if such a vote is symbolic. Otherwise you are seen to be not having a real problem with what is being passed and therefore it becomes legislation without any real ruffles being caused.

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/these-are-the-184-labour-mps-who-didn-t-vote-against-the-tories-welfare-bill-10404831.html

Labour’s leadership recommended an abstention against the bill as a whole, though a group of 48 rebel MPs backed an alternative motion that wholly opposed the package.

I'm sure there would be policies I would support but it really makes little difference at the moment.  What's Labour's policy on brexit? I have absolutely no idea.

The bottom line is if as it seems we're driving off a cliff, which is what all the evidence points to, any future Labour Government would be dealing with crisis management and not

That vote was shameful but wasn't on UC. That vote resulted in Labour members revolting and shifting the party to the left.

Labour under Corbyn are opposed to UC. There is no point harping back to 2015, austerity only ends under a Labour government.

You know this is absolute fact when there ain't one single politican with a beard down to his toes.
