Hard to reconcile this form with the striker we watched at the Euros. Obvs tactics etc didn't play to his advantage.

Anyway, hope he continues this really promising start to life in Italy.

Clarke doesn’t appear to have any idea how to get the best out of him. It absolutely isn’t firing long balls and crosses at his head.

In behind Dykes might be an option, particularly with our injuries.

(Fraser is much like a few P&Bers. Toxic, poison and rotten to the core who contribute nothing positive. And much like the aforementioned P&Bers, stiffer than a joint porn convention and Playboy convention staged at a morgue)

Take a wee break. Get some fresh air - it's a beautiful world out there.

A rare start for Calvin Ramsay tonight. Maloney said in his pre match presser yesterday that basically he hasn't been good enough to get in the squad and he needs to understand his role better 🤷‍♂️

Apparently didn't have the best of games and not great defensively in particular

The Liverpool move seemed weird at the time and is getting weirder with every passing month.

Wouldn't say it was that weird considering Van Dijk and Robertson came from this league and Ramsey looked a pler at the time. For what they paid was peanuts to them.

Think he needs to get properly fit again, get a run of games in league one, Scotland (wherever) and get his confidence back then go from there.

He's still very young and he has a lot of potential, I personally think he can do very well in the game.

Max Johnston starts for Sturm Graz (vs Club Brugges) and Andrew Robertson for Liverpool. (vs Bologna)

Both in the European Cup.

Should've been John McGinn and Lewis Ferguson, too. Alas, injured.

Liam Lindsey starts for Preston.

Ryan Porteous on the bench for Watford..

Robertson went from this league to Hull and he'd had a few seasons of first team fitba with Utd before he did so. Van Dijk wasn't a teenager and was in this league for barely 2 seasons iirc. They're not analogous to Ramsay.

Robertson only had one season with United btw before he moved to Premier league team at the time Hull.

My point being is that both Robertson and Van Dijk were very clearly talented players whilst playing in Scotland and in Van Dijk's case, ended up going to Liverpool via Southampton for 75 mil.

A similar situation could of occured with Ramsey where after winning the young player of the year in Scotland, they may have thought it was worth the gamble to buy him early and develop him before another club does then potentially paying a bigger sum in the future if he turns into a star?

It hasn't obviously worked out that way however.

I see Max Johnson played the full 90 minutes for Sturm tonight. Good on him.

Also, I hate Real Madrid, so delighted to see them get beat, and with Belle & Sebastian's Jonathan David netting the winner. However many Canada caps he has, he must surely be eligible for Scotland?

Also good is seeing Robbo getting rotated a lot more this season. He and McGinn really have looked for a while like they need a bit of time off. Hopefully Robbo will be a bit fresher for the upcoming Scotland matches.
