Petty Things That Get On Your Nerves...

Recommended Posts

If your skin is that sensitive to sun, you should use Factor 50 sunblock- like the stuff you get for babies.

I would also get your skin checked by a specialist, if you burn all the time, you should really be checked for skin cancer.

I'm lucky, I go brown fairly easily :) And from tomorrow permanent sun for a fortnight :D:D

My arms are allright as they are nice and brown now,it's just my back and shoulders that get burnt badly. I have had the moles on my back checked in the past and they have all be fine.(I have loads of them on my back.)

Seems to be a lot of P&B members who look at the threads on the GN forum but never post.

Seems a shame as I'm sure they all have something to contribute and would probaby talk more sense than me.

If you're reading this join in - the worst that can happen is you will get abused and humiliated but there are people (judges, MPs etc.) who pay good money for that.

Another pain in the neck, this morning I had just gotten up and making myself a coffee when there was a knock at the door, two police men standing there, turns out there is nothing to worry about it's just the dafty up stairs that they were looking for.

I thought something bad had happened to my partner on the way to work. Fuckers.

I hope they were looking for her because last weekend she was 40 out till god knows when, came home and had to get helped up to her flat by the taxi driver she was in that bad a state, and she went out in her car the next day.

Got a letter from the court today telling me to expect a call regarding Jury Duty.

I've never done it before, so it will be an experience, at least...

Really? I got one through on Saturday morning. I still haven't filled it out.

Is it a bit of a coincidence that we only stay two streets away?

Got one about a week ago for the first time. Only said I would be on a 'panel' for the next three years. Not much wiggle room for getting out.

Know it's civic duty etc. but the thought of it is not great.

What does this mean? I received mines saying it would either be the Sheriff Court or the High Court.

I was also under the illusion that if you had been convicted of any serious crime you wouldn't need to do Jury Duty. Apperently it is only if you have done porridge though.

That would be fun! We could make a day or two of it!

Or you'll both get sequestered and have to spend 3 weeks locked away from the world.

Oh, what would P&B do...

My mate was cited for jury duty the other week, but it got cancelled, which he was really gutted about.

I'm more frightened at the thought that someone's life could be in his hands :o

Being serious (for a moment) the thought of deliberating in a serious case makes me a bit uncomfortable - huge responsibility.

Also still being serious (this is hard) imagine that a jury, like P&B posters, will be a cross section of society. How would you feel about deliberating on a serious matter with some of the twisted logic displayed by the knobheads who post here?

Can't recall if mine mention high court - imagine it would as these things are standard

It would go down the toilet.

I've not long finished reading a book about a jury that gets locked away in a hotel.

There was more time spent detailing all the pumping that everyone was doing during the conjugal visits, than the fact that just about every one of them was corrupt.

The thought of it also scares me. I mean, if you and the rest of the Jury were to make a mistake, what one would you want it to be? Setting a guilty man free, or sending down an innocent man for a long time?
