Pages 7416 and 7417 being exactly the same.

I get this sometimes when I haven’t signed in. Once signed in it’s normal service.

The overuse/misuse of the word 'across' on BBC Radio Scotland.

We've been across this story today...

Reporter Joe Bloggs has been across the facts for us...

Listeners who've been across the radio today will be familiar...

I've not heard this anywhere else but now I can't unhear it, several times a day.

Phoned the bank.

"Does she have any letters from the HMRC?"

"She's 14."

"Does she have any correspondence from the DVLA?"

"She's 14"

"Does she have bank statements from any other banks?"

"This is her first account I'm trying to open. She's 14."

and so on.

Good excuse to get her to start paying the bills imo.

Also it's about time she started her own business and familiarised herself with the joys of HMRC.

Doesn't your bank offer a children's account which, presumably, would be more realistic in requirements?

As an aside, if she need's a bank account you're paying too much pocket money so you're the architect of your own downfall here.

Careful, she'll be The Daughter before she turns 18.

RBS own website states you need proof of ID for the child (i.e. passport) and proof of ID and address for YOU (the adult applicant). Absolutely no requirement to prove where the child resides. This is, of course, dependent upon you being a current RBS customer.

https://www.rbs.co.uk/current-accounts/childrens-accounts/revolve_account.html#:~:text=Provide proof of ID (like,ll get an instant decision.

This is what I eventually did. Awaiting approval...
