Madeleine Mccann Missing Girl

WTF's going on? Released without charge, then named as the Portugese equivalent of a subject?

EDIT: The article doesn't say if Robert Murat is the suspect they have.

Apparently the McCann family are not happy with the press' treatment (specifically the BBC) and portrayal of this 'suspect'.

Thats not sourced from the media but (overheard by myself) from an actual relative of the family.

All i'm saying is, wearing tinted glasses he does look dodgy.

Maybe but that isnt a crime in itself!

But I agree with what Marrez said earlier in that one of two options for what has happened. Looks like the police

I think we will find out in the next few days and it dosent look good :(

"Mr Murat's uncle, Ralph Eveleigh, who runs a bed and breakfast in the nearby village of Burgau, said his nephew had an alibi for the night Madeleine went missing.

"His mother says that on the night the kid disappeared they were both in the house together all night," he said.

"Robert is so sweet and good-natured. He was just trying to help." Mr Murat's cousin, Sally Eveleigh, said there was "absolutely no way" he could have had anything to do with Madeleine's disappearance. "

Does sound like his mum is doing a "Maxine Carr "

Aw FFS man. Typical British attitude; tried, found guilty and executed despide knowing b*gger all about the case or the circumstances surrounding the person's (might not even be him) being treated as a suspect.

:o Thats a shocking statement. Those 2 people are worlds apart, Carr was a psycho who helped her boyfriend by covering up for him, and knowing what he did. The mother, I cannot see doing such a thing, shes a wee old lady, who has been helping the police.

I'm sorry, but that's as ridiculous a statement as Steven's.

Slight over-reaction Gaz

Never said we should go over and do a public hanging just that the parallels with the Hunty case are slightly disturbing.

No it's the truth in situations like this trust nobody and those investigating this will be taking the same view.

Maxine Carr came across as really sweet did she not?

As for Huntly being a "psycho" did he have it written on his forehead? You say that as if it was obvious to everybody. He came across as this helpful guy who was trying to help the police.

Giving people the benefit of the doubt incases like this isnt an option and the fact that she is a "sweet old lady" means nothing.

Not saying they are guilty or not but to say she isnt based on how she looks is madness.

I didnt mean it the way I have typed it. Trying to do 2 things at once!

I know what I meant im saying that his statement was shocking. He's tried and tested the guy before any real evidence has came to light. Just because they have a suspect, doenst mean to say that he is the one that did it.

No I never said he must have done it but what you done is write off his mother caused she looked a certain way!

Same way that people above are claiming he looks "Dodgy" My view is trust nobody no-matter if they look dodgy or are sweet old ladies.

Did you think Maxine Carr looked capable of covering up for Huntly?

But in a way, you've done the same, by saying that the mother's a wee old lady who looks incapable of being a psycho or doing anything like that.

We simply don't know.

Press Conference going on just now, apparently there's no evidence to suggest that their "suspect" was involved in any way.

I just put on Sky News for the first time in months. What a joke of a channel. It's like a Brass Eye episode.

I had it on earlier, it inturupted the sports news to bring pictures of a car which may have had non-uniformed officers in it

Tabloid news station.
