Well, that was fun! It took me about 20 minutes to even get into the game! However, by that point we were at least seven or eight down.

Teams were a bit uneven, however you aren't really going to know this until everyone has already been picked, are you?

Thought the stand out players for our team were McGowan and Sao Paulo. I don't think we were talking to each other enough, and that is where we went wrong IMO. The other team were shouting to each other for the early pass, whereas we were just standing about hoping that it would come to us. If I wasn't in the opposition team, I would have liked to have stood and watched Chrissy Muir's team with their link up passes.

Even though we lost, I still think we all played OK. I'm very unfit at the moment, but I am going to start going for a run in the morning to try and improve my level of fitness, and will hopefully be along most weeks from now on so I should hopefully see some sort of improvement.

And Chrissy, I forgot to ask. Just before the lights went off, when you were trying to get the ball off of me in the bottom right corner, were you intentionally trying to feel my arse? I loved it.

Fair assessment.

I had a bit of a shocker, but I got a *relatively* good amount of running done all the same, so at least it was a decent workout. Heads seemed to go right down early on, but for the 2nd half of that game I think pretty much everyone was giving their all, so that was good to see. There was one goal in particular later on where we got carved apart by a series of 5 or 6 one-touch passes which pretty much summed up the game. I could barely move at some points, too, so not only was my all round play shite, I couldnt even run about like a headless chicken to make it look like I was doing something useful :(. Playing 5'es for 2 hours on Sunday evening probably didn't help, especially since there were only 9 people who turned up to that one, so everyone had to have a stint on a team with only 4 players, which was exhausting to say the least. Don't think my being a chronic smoker and eating shite food helps my fitness either, to be honest. <_<

Good fun, all the same. Hopefully they aren't fully booked at 9:30 next time, though, didnt get back in to my house till about 1AM or so.

For a smoker, you don't have any problems with running. I wish I was as fit as you.

Like you said though, the heads just started dropping when we went seven down quite early. Still, we kept at it and never really gave up.

Looking forward to next week already.

Are you sure it was me? Because just before the lights went out was when Fudge chipped it in and I headered it over the bar from the edge of the box. If it was me, as much as you'd of liked it to of been, it wasn't intentional. B)
