Smith hit reverse over the last few holes when he realised he was in contention. I can't think of many tournaments he's actually won for someone so highly ranked. Seems to be more of a Rickie Fowler style accumulator of top 10s. Edit: just checked and he has 3 PGA tour wins, two of which were pairs events in the Zurich Classic.
