MTJ
Special mention to the BBC for their fucking awful coverage of the Lakeside. What was that all about there? "Right you, enough posing on stage back to the pub for a quick interview!" A minute later they go off air.

I'm surprised Ray Stubbs didn't appear at 8pm with the well heard phrase from the last week "well, that's where we've got to leave it"
THE HUNTER GATHERER
The two wild card picks for the Premier League have been anounced. Wayne Mardle and Jelle Klaasen Surprised Thornton didnt make it as he and Mer King have been the most improved players on the circuit. Also there must be no mass exodus from the BDO as previously rumoured or i imagine maybe Gary Anderson would have been a wild card. Anyones thoughts on this?
Skyline Drifter
Jelle Klassen and Wayne Mardle confirmed as Premier League wildcards!!Happy with that, no Anastasia and Klassens a good new face for it. Mardle will do his but, but finish bottom. If you go back two pages in the thread you'll find lengthy debate on the wildcards which were announced days ago.

RedWeb
Talking of the Premier League I read the following from Wayne "Hawaii 501" Mardle in the paper this morning: "I've got a few tricks up my sleeve. I might wear a skirt or bring sand and turn the stage into a beach...I will bring my own brand of madness to the oche, I love it" Never mind the fecking skirt and sand and concentrate more on hitting treble 20's and not the 5. After that practice some doubles and you might just win something ya clown. His wildcard should be revoked and given to the Count.
DomDom
You're aware that he might not exactly be serious, right ?
RedWeb
You're aware that he might not exactly be serious, right ? It's his court jester attitude that gets on my tits. Having been humped 4-0 by a bloke who then lost 5-0 in the next round at the World's you'd think he'd have more on his mind that tarting up his walk-on. Whether he means it or not isn't the point, it's his continued attempts to market himself as the PDC clown when he needs to concentrate on his darts.
Guest Berwick till i die
Any word yet on players making the jump to the PDC because it's usually today it happens the day after the BDO final. My predictions to jump are Anderson, Webster, Fitton, Whitlock, Robson and O'Shea with a few unknown guys as well. The BDO could be finished if the names mentioned above jump because Adams and Hankey can't carry the BDO on their own.
Graeme M
I don't think Anderson will be going anywhere given his comments about being a pub player and only feeling comfortable playing on floor events and not on stage.

The Naitch
They've just reversed the first set of fixtures (as they've done almost every year) and it just so happens that Edinburgh and Glasgow are both staging the 2nd set of matches. Oh well... Edited January 14, 2009 by The Naitch

Guest Berwick till i die
This might be old news but Anderson has confirmed he is staying in the BDO for another year. Such a waste of talent in my opinion he could easily of jumped to the PDC and if he showed the right dedication required then he could easily come a top 6 player and earn a fortune. Instead he is staying in the BDO for crap prize money, in front of shit crowds at shit venues and playing mostly very average players.
MTJ
I wouldn't be surprised now if we have no defections or a shitty one like Joey Ten Berge or something like that. If anybody moves I think Waites or Whitlock and that'll be it. I also see Hankey is interested in a one off match with Taylor. Clearly for money, as he'd get whipped.
Poet of the Macabre
What is everyone's favourite tournament outside the World Championship? Mine has to be the UK Open, love the "FA Cup of darts" thing they have with it. It's also great to watch some new names creating a few shocks along the way
The Naitch
Has to be the World Matchplay for me. Wonderful atmosphere and a simply fantastic venue to have a game of darts in.
