walter fitz gilbert
This is probably a stupid question seeing as they throw 9 darters for fun in the pdc, but has anyone ever threw the perfect 501? treble 20, treble 19 and bull three times.
Jupiter Jazz
Does anyone know the name of the book, where some guy gives up his job to try and become a pro Darts player? Murder on the Darts Board by Justin Irwin

Only in exhibitions and when messing around I'd imagine. Never in competition. Theres a video on youtube of Bob Anderson doing 1001 in 18 darts or something ludicrous, worth a watch.

Wasn't southpaw Alan Glazier reputed to have done a perfect 1001 (17 darts) thirty-odd years ago?
ayrmad
Wasn't southpaw Alan Glazier reputed to have done a perfect 1001 (17 darts) thirty-odd years ago? Might be wrong, but Alan Evans held the record for 1001, don't know how many darts though. Edited January 10, 2011 by ayrmad

McCaig's Tower
5x180's, T17, BULL? Impressive. I guess he might have blocked the bed and sneaked in a cheeky 171 in the middle to keep the chance alive, then finished on 110. Did a moment's research, and Patrick Chaplin claims on his site that Alan Glazier managed it in the Crown in Wetherby in 1977, but it wasn't an "official match". So maybe Evans has the official record.
Convenor
That Martin Fitzmaurice guy makes the BBC darts unwatchable for me. What a total w****r he seems. He sure is. Barney has a section of his book devoted to slagging off Fitzmaurice. Apparently when Barney was at the BDO Fitzmaurice spread rumours that he was doing lines of coke
The Naitch
http://www.pdc.tv/page/NewsdeskDetail/0,,10180~2263974,00.html Wolfie and Phillips, unsurprisingly, have knocked back the offer of a PDC Tour Card. Winstanley and Dekker have 'til Thursday to make their minds up. Dave Chisnall, Brian Woods and Big John Henderson have all entered the Q School event - there's 16 Tour Cards up for grabs so these three will fancy their chances of getting one. EDIT: A few of the Prelim qualifiers from the World Championships are in there as well, including Devon Petersen. DomDom
So much for Adams being "receptive" to the idea. Not surprised at Phillips knocking one back considering he doesn't like to travel too much.

Davis Love III
Both Scottish venues appear to be sold out. Yeah, unfortunately they've sold really quickly this year (Probably the Anderson factor). The last time I went to the Premier League was in 09, and as far as I remember, there were still tickets remaining for Edinburgh (Highland Centre) at this time of year, but then again, there were three Scottish venues that year, so that would have had an impact! I think Ebay would be the only place you could pick some up, but as you can imagine, people put them up for ridiculous prices and those that are up for auction are so competitive that it's hard to get any tickets at a decent price! If you're after tickets, I really hope you're able to find some, and if you do, please point me in the same direction as I wouldn't mind going to one of the nights!

I need to get off the mark a lot quicker. Deffo not prepared to pay silly prices but my son is desperate to go. Anyway it's all systems go for the Ryder Cup in 2012. I need everyone I know to get their name in the ballot to give me an almost guaranteed chance of two tickets.

Yeah the tickets come out for the PL way back in the Autumn, I'm the same as you, too hesitant to do anything! Hope you find a good deal! You just never know! Excellent about the Ryder Cup! Should be a fantastic experience if you're lucky enough to get tickets! I'm hoping to go, especially with the man himself as US Captain!
