Pretty good article on Taylor, fairly balanced and covers quite a bit. I despise the guy but you've got to admire him as a sportsman.

Indeed, it was a decent read.

I'm intrigued by the comments on the latest TV deal, with Barry Hearn asking Taylor to play another five years in order to meet Sky's conditions.

He touched on that also, in a Youtube interview with Rod Harrington on the PDC's Channel. In that, Taylor went a little further to say that he is concerned about what will happen to the game when he does retire.

Taylor's landed a plum draw in the Worlds this year. Lewis, Van Gerwen, Barney, Chisnall, Anderson, and Wade all in the opposite half of the draw. Looks like a pretty untroubled run to the final for the Power.

Bottom half of the draw is where it's at this year. Mighty Mike v Gary Anderson in the 3rd round is the one I'm looking forward to.

Manages to limp over the line, but he got a hell of a scare in that game. Who does he play in the next round?

Likely to be Wes Newton.

John won't play as poorly as that again. He was averaging 93 in that third set when throwing for the match.

Lots of nerves up there, but that will settle him down.

I can enjoy the World Championship now...
