mid-table
The qualifier Perez played brilliantly there. In the past some of these qualifying round games have been awful, that one was actually very good.
DomDom
Perez played decent at the start and breathtaking towards the end. Got a bit dodgy in the middle, and basically played to a standard that allowed Laursen into the match, but he seemed to get a grip on himself. I reckon if he can keep his consistancy, he's going to give Thornton a VERY close match.
RedWeb
McDine currently getting beaten up by The Menace. McDine couldn't hit a double if his life depended on it.
DomDom
Much improved from McDine, but Priestley decided that he had to step things up himself. That was a great set of darts, and Priestley is on his way to a well earned spot in round two.
The Naitch
Just got home from work in time for the start of the Priestley/McDine match and what a treat it has been to see the master at work. Took a couple of legs to get his doubling sorted out but he's been in fine form since ... 150 and 140 checkouts have helped him to a 2-0 lead against the Geordie kid. Not entirely surprised to see Mardle dumped out already, he has been badly off colour all year (in more ways than one).
The Naitch
McDine has picked up the pace to take the 3rd set and is early favourite to take the next set too...
The Naitch
What a match this has turned out to be. McDine is struggling with a dodgy knee but is still hittiing over 100 in the averages. Priestley is hitting the doubles when it matters. Great stuff for a 1st round match.
DomDom
Kevin McDine looks just about ready to start crying. He's actually playing better than he usually does. Someone should knee cap him before every match.
The Naitch
...and McDine wins the match with a Bull finish. Gutted to see Priestley go, but fair play to Hop Along Kevin (thanks Pykey) who takes his place in the next round.

The Naitch
McDine is almost in tears during this interview, he's in agony.
The Naitch
"The more spectacular finishes have come from Kevin Dine."TOOL ! Four bull finishes from McDine is pretty impressive. Priestley took out a 150 and a 140, can't remember many others from him. EDIT: Here comes the Taylor love-in... DomDom
Looks like it's going to be one of them steady performances from Taylor. Probably no need to watch. Mute button and Spotify ahoy !

Yep, nothing spectacular from Taylor but easily has enough in the tank to dispose of Monk.
The Naitch
...and there we have it. Routine victory for Phil as he cruises into the next round.
DomDom
I hardly watched any of that, but I did catch the 170, which is always a treat. McDine vs. Priestley was an early candidate for match of the round, which was to be expected, but this might be a more unexpected contender !

The Naitch
They have dancers/cheerleaders at the darts now? FFS! Were you tuning in expecting to see overweight slobs with a pint in their hand and a dart in the other? It's all change, you know!
