DomDom
For the love of f**k.
Davis Love III
No, you did not imagine that. Possibly the most surreal moment of this year's tournament. Nope, rewound it and Wade is up close with a dog. Maybe its his lucky mascot and as he's won the first leg its working. How extraordinary. Scott Mitchell should hire it for his match at the Lakeside.
JamieStevenson
Classic. Wade couldn't hit a decent score and MVG couldn't finish. Not a great start.
Davis Love III
I'd like to take this chance to wish Rodders a happy birthday too, I presume that he'll be celebrating later with Lloydy. Happy birthday Rodders! For the last time this year...
DomDom
Well, he can certainly hit the doubles now.

The Naitch
How extraordinary. Scott Mitchell should hire it for his match at the Lakeside. Speaking of which, I saw the ad for the 2013 Lakeside earlier today and it's got me looking forward to next week at Frimley Green. First set to Wade though van Gerwen seemed to sort out his doubling towards the end of that set.
DomDom
James Wade did what he needed to do there. Which is what he is going to have to do.
Desert Nomad
Wade scoring is woeful but finishing is absolute quality.

Yep, I can't wait either! The Lakeside has a terrific familiarity that makes it a must watch. James Wade did what he needed to do there. Which is what he is going to have to do. Indeed, and he's one of the best at that. Should van Gerwen give him chances, he'll take them. It's really all down to MVG in this one. If he maintains his level of scoring, and has a reasonable checkout percentage, he'll win. But if he doesn't, it could become very interesting.
Keyser Soze
FFS why oh why did I not pick MVG for 180's in the prediction league, I would have been in 2nd rather than 6th if I had
mozam76
Some really erratic darts from Wade. He can't rely on Van Gerwen missing EVERY double.
meanmistermustard
If van gerwen gets his doubles this one is going to be a quickie as wades scoring is piss poor.
DomDom
MVG's combo finishing is brilliant.
The Naitch
Clean sweep for van Gerwen in that set, he's just getting warmed up now...
Desert Nomad
Now Van Gerwan is finishing he'll dispose of Wade no problem.
The Naitch
...and there's another great combo finish from van Gerwen. First proper break of the match, let's see how Wade responds.
DomDom
Michael Van Gerwen is bloody brilliant, isn't he? He puts the sort of pressure on players that Phil Taylor used to. He gets onto any finish and you're thinking "oh shit".
Neilly
The crowd are up to their usual shite boring as f**k change the script eh?
The Naitch
That's a statement. Six legs on the bounce now and his finishing is now beginning to match his scoring. Edited December 30, 2012 by The Naitch
