Davis Love III
James Wade's the second most successful PDC player, is he not? Indeed. Here's the all-time list for the World Championship/World Matchplay/UK Open/World Grand Prix/Las Vegas Desert Classic/Players Championship/European Championship. (Premier League and Grand Slam of Darts don't count towards the Order of Merit). Phil Taylor: 54 James Wade: 5 Raymond van Barneveld: 4 John Part: 3 Adrian Lewis: 3 Rod Harrington: 2 Colin Lloyd: 2 Dennis Priestley: 1 Robert Thornton: 1 Roland Scholten: 1 Larry Butler: 1 Peter Evison:1 Alan Warriner: 1 Michael van Gerwen: 1 Paul Nicholson: 1 Kevin Painter: 1 Simon Whitlock: 1 Peter Manley: 1
StewartyMac
That's incredible when you see it like that, eh?
Davis Love III
That's incredible when you see it like that, eh? It certainly is. Phil Taylor 54-30 Everyone Not Named Phil Taylor.
Davis Love III
I also didn't include the U.S. Open or the Championship League of Darts (which James Wade won in 2010). Using just the major events I outlined in my previous post, Wade has reached a total of 10 finals. That's the same total as John Part and Raymond van Barneveld.
Poet of the Macabre
I have never heard of Larry Butler. Semi-finals ended exactly how I thought they would. Doubt MvG and Lewis can produce a poor game of darts. Taylor has Wade's number every time seemingly although fair play to Wade for not getting thumped which many players would have after falling so far behind so early. Should be a cracking final and Lewis has a real chance if he plays at his best for most of the game. Think Taylor is just too good for him though. Taylor 18-14 Lewis.

The Naitch
Good to hear John Part doing the 1st half of the final. Would have been even better if he got some form together to actually play in these matches again. StewartyMac
Sick averages given we're in the 10th leg now. I'm torn between this and StandFree v xbl on the worst posters thread.

Not really. Cracking standard so far. Taylor wins three legs on the bounce to go in front.
The Naitch
Another Taylor break, six legs in a row now. Lewis needs to get himself back into this sharpish. That D1 to break back is a good start. Edited July 28, 2013 by The Naitch
The Naitch
Game on now, Lewis has hung onto Taylor during that lean spell and is now right back in it. Mardle's blatantly been nicking P&B patter, also.
DomDom
Might as well stick a fork in Lewis. He's done.
The Naitch
Aye, looking grim for Lewis now. Don't see him clawing it back from here.
DomDom
Adrian Lewis has not lost belief at all.

The Naitch
That 136 kills it. Taylor throwing for the match.
DomDom
Cracking game there. Adrian Lewis never backed down once and Taylor was a bit rattled at times.
The Naitch
That was just phenomenal. 111 average over 31 legs is just staggering. Aidy's average wasn't too shabby either.
Neilly
If Aidy held his throw to make it 15-13 could have got interesting but it was a masterclass from Taylor. Great to see Jackpot playing like this though. Great end to a great tournament.
