I would have put money on us throwing that away at the end.

The commentators really need to take a cold shower every time a Fijian comes on the park.... no pun intended. Lets see the man play a game for us before we declare him the worlds best player.

Cant wait for the stade game now!

Kiwis beat Aussies again for the gazillionth time in a row.

It also was there 18th test win in a row given them the record out right for a tier 1 nation. They are 6 short of the all time record witch stands at 24 tests and is held by Cyprus. It was also a record for the Aussies as it was the 1st time they have lost more than one 3 test series In a year( the mid year series v England and the Beldisloe cup)

All over Leicester scrum last week. The guys are just not prepared for this. I said it before game.. so not sour grapes... but it's an utter disgrace this is being played

It's worth saying as well though that however bad Glasgow were, Munster were really good. That's the best performance a team has put in against us in a while, and the coped with going down to 14 men easily by hammering us up front, taking our backs completely out the game.

I could have spent all week guessing and not come up with Cyprus ! NZ are on a completely different level to everyone else. Most teams have just about caught up in terms of fitness n conditioning but the gap in handling skills is huge especially under pressure. I can't see anything but humiliation for the Lions out there.

Just watched the embra quins game. Embra albeit with plenty to improve on look a far more impressive side under hodge. Great spectacle despite a dire reffing performance. The ineptitude was at least equally disadvantageous but man the amount of time spent on pointless tmo reviews was crazy. Marler n gilchrist both looked very harsh yellows

The Scotland squad for the Autumn/End of year tests is named on Monday. But we could be without a number of players as the PRL(Premiership Rugby Limited) have had a fallout with the SRU, FIR, JRFU and the TRFU over money for injured players. Also Lloyd Linton (only Scottish ref getting any Pro 12 games at the moment) has one test at the moment (Germany v Uruguay) in Week 2 of the tests and with some matches in week 3 and 4 not got a ref named could get another game or 2

Glasgow were appalling to the point of embarrassment on Saturday.

Munster were good, not taking anything away but we'd have struggled against Ayr with that attitude and some of the individual performances we had. Some of the decision making from big players beggared belief.

Worrying that in a big game and big atmosphere we struggle. This why Scotland players look lost in similar circumstances?

Glasgow do tend to absolutely shite it in the European stage. Think this is a similar psyche any Scottish club/national side in all sports suffers from unfortunately.

That's taking nothing away from winning the Pro12, that was an impressive feat. However the difference between a good side and a great side has always been measured in Europe, shown by magnificent Munster and Leinster sides in the past.

The Munster fans have decided who was to blame for the red card. It was not their player or the ref but the Glasgow player turned his body during the tackle to make sure he landed on his head to get the munster player sent off

Yep. Irish fans have had so many pet refs over the years they are programmed to a ludicrous level of entitlement. Mind cpl years back ulster fans mewling about nico diving and ignoring the fact their player hit him head high nowhere near the ball.

I think the big difference with Glasgow is that there are not real standout players, in that you could take out any starter and there is a replacement who is more or less just as good. This is great in the league as you can rest players, and it doesn't affect the standard the team is playing at, however when it comes to Europe, the Irish and Welsh teams bring in their internationals ans suddenly they are much better teams. Its the argument the English and French were making when they revised the cup as if you are not worried about a league position you just have your best players playing in Europe.

Now Niko and Nakarawa have gone, we dont really have any big game players left in the middle of the park. We have Seymour, Sarto, Hogg and Bennett out in the wider channels but we dont seem to have anyone in the forwards with any spark. Grey is very good at doing the donkey work and the hard yards (as are a lot of the forwards) but we are lacking a big ball carrier in the back row that can break tackles and make something happen. It used to be Strauss but he has really gone off the boil since he made his Scotland debut, Harley does do it at a Pro12 level, but dont think he is good enough for the level above. As soon as we start to get dominated up front it all becomes a bit predictable and safe which gives the opposition defence a chance to drop players out to cover our backs

Squad for autumn internationals. No wp nel or Matt Scott are surprises. Ross ford still there sadly isn't. He was an utter liability for embra again at line out v quins. Nice to see Watson n Hoyland in the squad and wouldn't have minded seeing Kinghorn n Bradbury integrated as well. Would also always have Harley in there, one if our most underrated forwards.

Also why is every other position listed alphabetically, except for hooker where f'n Ford gets listed before Brown?

Feel bad for always criticising ford...but he can't hook or throw. Nothing he could do in the loose mitigates for the amount of territory and possession he costs us often at vital times. He's never going to learn those skills now so why persevere when we know exactly what will happen game after game.

He doesn't actually do anything in the loose either. A complete waste of space in most games.

Certainly doesn't do more than brown n mcinally or even Mccarthur. As I said I don't like moaning about him but he's not good enough at the fundamentals of his position. I also think we need to say thanks to laidlaw and move on. To get best out of finn and the backline we need far quicker slicker distribution. It's great that laidlaw can kick goals but we have plenty of other kickers. We should be building for next rwc now not carrying on guys who will be past it next time around.
